George is one of our trainers here at the Northeast Racquet and Fitness Center. 
   George worked as a printer for 32 years. In 1991, while playing ice hockey, he blew out his knee and he had ACL reconstruction. After surgery and rehab, George got advice from his therapist on how to gain weight due to his small stature at the time. George weighted in at a whopping 130 lbs. George had two choices in the matter, stuff himself forever and ever or start exercising. So he join a gym to pack on some weight. While in the gym he observed and learned from others. After he got married in 1995, he started to work out his wife and friends and began to give them advice on how to exercise properly. In 2007, he was laid off from work for two months. Soon after, he was laid off again, Seeing the printing industry was dying off, he figured he would have to find a new line of work. His wife suggested that since he had been in the gym for more than 30 years, he might like to try being a personal trainer. He was a little hesitant, but looked online for a personal training school. There was one right around the corner, He obtained he personal training certification from the National Personal Training Institute in 2009. 
George went to work at the gym he worked out at for the past 18 years. After gaining some experience with a wide variety of clients from double knee replacement to losing weight, he came to center to expand his horizon.
   George’s training philosophy is “Dedication + Motivation + Personal Training = Fit For Life” He enjoys working with people and expanding their knowledge in the realm of exercise without being stuck on machines. His creativity and implementation of the types fitness equipment will allow you to achieve your goals.
